My wife and I bought some beautiful Heath Ceramics tile for our 100-year-old bungalow kitchen backsplash, and we were very excited about getting everything just right. The tiles are handmade and have some variation in color and size. Since the house is so old, nothing is perfectly plumb or level, which made the installation especially challenging. Mark had all the right answers, and 40 years experience to make the walls ready for install. He added material behind, shimmed the walls and did some serious magic to make his installation stellar. I'll note that Mark wasn't the cheapest bid we received - but I wasn't looking for the cheapest. I wanted the best, and that's exactly what we got. The quality of his workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail made every penny worthwhile. Mark was incredible from start to finish. He offered thoughtful suggestions for how to handle the area around our window, and his recommendations turned out beautifully. He's a true professional and an exceptional craftsman who clearly takes pride in his work. He treated our project as if it were his own home. He stayed on schedule, cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every day, and paid attention to every detail. His experience and expertise really showed throughout the entire project.
